Last night at Glastonbury Festival a crowd pleasing colourfully lit set, as a leaden sky darkened, from Coldplay brought the curtain down on the main stages before revellers squeezed the last night of festivalling out of the event for another year. Chris Martin and company were joined by Bee Gee Barry Gibb, and Festival founder Michael Eavis singing 'My Way' before setting the festival alight as an army of fans left the field arms blinking in unison through the night from the band's LED wristbands.

Earlier in the day Jeff Lynne's own Electric Light Orchestra similarly illuminated a rather subdued crowd with a hit packed set of classics. Before that Gregory Porter was joined on stage by a proposing couple. Mystery Jets attracted a big crowd in the John Peel tent and must surely be within touching distance of a bigger slot in future years. Representing the Sisterhood (although probably not visiting the women only venue in Shangri-La) were P J Harvey, Laura Mvula, and Ellie Goulding. Whilst a resurgent Craig David went down a storm in Silver Hayes, with LCD Soundsystem also smashing it on the Other Stage.

Over in West Holts Quantic delivered a crowd pleasing set with guest Chris Ellis (son of Alton Ellis) joining Hollie Cook for 'I'm Still In Love With You Girl' - one of the highlights of the whole weekend. Although it was probably matched by Earth, Wind And Fire's 70s vibrancy of 'Boogie Wonderland'.

Although many chose to leave the Festival before today's impending car park grid lock made worse by the mud, there was still a chance to be entertained in the final hours. Those Coldplay wristbands would continue to blink whether it was the naughty corner, a small venue wrap up party, the campsites, a lightshow in the woods or the Arcadia spider, one of the muddiest Glastonburys ever drew to a close.

In the face of testing ground conditions throughout the Festival even from the beginning of the week hats off to the organisers, volunteers, staff, crews, and everyone who  created and inspired to bring another terrific weekend across the muddy fields of Somerset. It's been another fantastic Festival if a little hard to traverse at times, we'll be bringing you our full review and hundreds of photographs once we've had a long hot shower, and some sleep.
