You must already have registered if you’d like to buy a ticket for Glastonbury Festival 2017. Online registration closed at noon today, Monday 3rd October, and will now remain closed until after this Sunday's main ticket sale.
To prevent touting Festival goers must register in advance for tickets which are non-transferable. Each ticket features the photograph of the registered ticket holder with security checks carried out to ensure that only the person in the photograph is admitted to the Festival.
Registration does not mean you have bought a ticket, but you can't buy a ticket without a registration number, Festival goers over the age of 12 must be registered.
While the bulk of Glastonbury tickets go on sale at 9am on Sunday 9th October via glastonbury.seetickets.com, those travelling to the festival by coach will be allowed to book theirs four days in advance.
Those who have registered can reserve tickets with a deposit of £50 and cost a total of £238 each (plus a £5 booking fee). Festival goers opting for the coach package will pay extra for transport.
15,000 coach and ticket packages will be sold in advance of the general sale at 6pm on Thursday 6th October as part of the festivals commitment to green travel.
Along with their deposit of £50 per person, those booking coach packages will be required to pay the full coach ticket price for their journey.
Both kinds of tickets can be booked in groups of six at a time on either a debit or credit card. There will then be no further UK or International payments taken until the booking site re-opens on the first week of April 2017 (from 09:00 Saturday 1st April – 23:59 Friday 7th April) when deposit purchasers will have one week to pay the balance of £188 per ticket, and to book everything else they might need (parking priced at £45, and insurance).
Tickets for Worthy View, the pre-erected camp site offering a range of British-made traditional scout tents, bell tents, tipi tents and small yurts are likely to go on sale a couple of weeks after the ticket sales. Campervan tickets for 2017 will also be able to be booked at £100 for a standard pitch (8m x 7m) or £200 for a double pitch (16m x 7m) and will be released, alongside Tipis (priced at £995) for ticket holders to book later this month.
