The Kills are the third act announced for NOS Alive Festival, formerly Optimus Alive!, taking place in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, from Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th of July 2016.
They join the line-up on the same day as the Foo Fighters who top the bill on Friday, with Saturday night headliners Depeche Mode the only other act announced
Celebrating 21 years since the release of their debut album, the Foo Fighters, formed of Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear, are to present a career spanning show of hits at the Portuguese festival.
A 3 day ticket with camping (from Seetickets) is priced from £129.94 or £114.81 without camping. A day ticket is priced at £52.51. Prices do not include booking fees. Other options are also available.
Now entering its 11th year, the 50,000 capacity festival is very much a 'beach by day, music by night' destination festival - the festival opens at 6pm and goes on until 6am and fans can either book from the huge array of affordable local accommodation, or camp in the festival campsite.
With the Tagus River as landscape to explore the festival has arts, cafes, restaurants, as well as music on offer.
Could an appearance at Glastonbury Festival, where they were slated to play before Grohl broke his foot in 2015, be back on the cards? That year they also had appearances at Pinkpop, and Rock Werchter.
