More has been announced for for the 'pop stars & rock stars' themed family friendly Camp Bestival 2017, which returns for it's 10th edition from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th July, to the picturesque setting of Lulworth Castle, Dorset.

On the live music front, the big new addition is Ian Brodie's Lightning Seeds, while it's also been announced that Sunday's closing act - Leftfield - will perform the classic 'Leftism' in full. Also newly announced are Sophie Barker, Swan Levitt, Orkesta Mendoza, Josephine and The Artizans, and The Fabulous Lounge Swingers.

New DJs and soundsystems are Eats Everything b2b Ellis Dee (old skool set), David Rodigan presents Ram Jam with Norman Jay, Congo Natty, DJ Q, Venum Sound, there's Greco-Roman Soundsystem with Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), and JeanGa and George (live), Full Nelson, George T, and Big Fish Little Fish with Mark Archer, 2 Bad Mice, and Baker & Beale, with more still to be announced.

Topping the bill in The Greatest tent On Earth will be the master of double entendre Julian Clary, who, along with award-winning illustrator David Roberts, will introduce you to The Bolds, a brand-new series of adventures about a family of hyenas living in an ordinary suburban street. With wildly hilarious readings in Clary’s unique style and live drawing by Roberts there will be guaranteed laughter at this unmissable appearance. There's also The Crumble Lady AKA Lorraine Bowen, a baby fire dragon Dotty The Dragon, colourful characters, catchy songs and puppetry from the Animalphabet team, the with music by Al and Sam of The Hoosiers, and patchwork entertainment with Elmer the Elephant.

Plus, there will be poems, songs, stories, games and improvisation in a special kids’ edition of Tongue Fu, interactive theatre show Kidocracy, collective musical amusements with Mrs H and the Sing-along Band, ten times Guinness World Record-breaker, master Bubble-ologist and proud holder of no less than three Blue Peter badges, Samsam Bubbleman with his Giant Bubble Show, rocked-up nursery rhymes, action songs, and kid-friendly rock and pop favourites from Boogie Monsters, workshops and three new sets of performances from long-time Camp Bestival faves, West End Kids and Dorset-based and local to Lulworth theatre company The MakeShift Ensemble presents Fox and Rabbit’s idiots guide to the Owl and the Pussycat.

The Camping Bestival 2017 weekly payment plan is available with a 25-week payment plan.

NOTE: all tickets will incur a booking fee.

All teens (aged 11 to 17) MUST camp in the same area as their families with a maximum of 2 teens per adult (over the age of 30). All children aged 4 and under (on 31/07/2016) can attend for free (but MUST HAVE a ticket). These ticket holders must be accompanied by a Ticket holding parent or guardian over the age of 21. Plus Camping Plus, Backstage VIP Camping and Hospitality Camping tickets are also on sale.
