Fresh from their latest Glastonbury success, Chic featuring Nile Rodgers has been announced for the Friday of BluesFest which takes place this year between Friday 27th and Sunday 29th October 2017, again within the various venues of The O2 Arena, Greenwich, London.
Nile Rogers said "We love performing in the UK and it's an honour to be asked to headline this year's BluesFest alongside the likes of Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers and Hall & Oates. Our fans can expect a night of funk and soul featuring all of our hits and maybe a few surprises!"
Also recently announced for the Saturday and playing within Indigo at the O2, are American blues-rock outfits Gov't Mule, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band.
BluesFest Director Leo Green said "Securing bands of the calibre of Chic, Gov't Mule and Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band is testament to our commitment to presenting the very best acts from around the world. These are three phenomenal live outfits who will all bring something extra special to the weekend's proceedings."
Tickets for the Friday (Chic) will go on sale at 9am on Wednesday 5th July.
Limited Saturday tickets (Daryl Hall & John Oates plus special guest Chris Isaak) are still available, priced at £65.
The Sunday of Bluesfest has Steely Dan, & The Doobie Brothers. Tickets for the Sunday are sold out.
