Dexy's founder member Pete Williams joins Musicport 2017

As the sun goes back to bed for another year and festivals move inside, world music festival Musicport has fleshed out more of its line-up. The latest added name is Dexy's founding member Pete Williams with his band, who'll appear on the North Sea Stage on the Saturday. 

He joins a line-up which includes headliners Rafiki Jazz, Afro Celt Sound System, and Benjamin Zephaniah & The Revolutionary Minds, plus others including Kefaya, Tcha Limberger Trio, 'Orchestra Of Samples' with Addictive TV, Maia Barouh, Omar Puente's Cuban Sextet, Maya Youssef Trio, Andy Kershaw, Hope & Social, Rory McLeod & Familiar Strangers, Himmerland, Fistful Of Spookies, Jamie Smith's Mabon, O'Hooley & Tidow, Ribbon Road, Grace Petrie, Joanne Harris & the Storytime band, The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican, and more. For the details so far including day splits please see the line-up page.

The 18th Musicport takes place - indoors, with 'indoor camping' as an option - from Friday 20th until Sunday 22nd October 2017, at Whitby Pavilion, North Yorkshire across 6 stages.
