The first acts have been announced for the 12th edition of The Great Escape, which will feature hundreds of international and UK pop, cutting edge, hip hop, electronic, and rock acts showcased at venues all over Brighton, East Sussex, happening next year from Thursday 17th until Saturday 19th May 2018.

The first acts have hail from all of Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, USA, as well as the UK, and are (in alphabetical order): Aine Cahill, Awate, Bad Gyal, Benny Mails, City Calm Down, COIN, Dan Stock, Daniel OG, Denzel Himself, Ebenezer, Feet, Freak, Fred Well, Hotel Lux, Hunter and The Bear, Jerry Williams, Joy Crookes, Katie Von Schleicher, King Nun, KOPS, Love Ssega, M.I.L.K., Maisie Peters, Mansionair, Mikaela Davis, Moncrieff, Naaz, Pitou, Promiseland, Rahh, Ruby Empress, S4U, Sam Fender, Sports Team, Stella Donnelly, Stereo Honey, Tamino, Ten Tonnes, The Ninth Wave, The Orielles, and Wild Front.

In total around 400 bands are expected to be announced, performing in more than 35 venues spread across Brighton over the course of three days.

Festival tickets are on sale, currently priced at £55 for a 3-day adult ticket.

A 3-day Festival ticket gives you access to the core venues, subject to each venues capacity. A small number of the shows will take place at The Dome in Brighton; to ensure guaranteed access to Dome Shows, attendees will be able to top up their festival wristband for a small fee, or purchase separate gig tickets.
