The first acts have been revealed for for Towersey Festival which takes place at Thame Showground, Oxfordshire over the Bank Holiday weekend of Friday 24th to Monday 27th August 2018.
Leading the names are The Proclaimers, Richard Thompson, Sharon Shannon Band, and Martin Joseph, along with Peter Knight & John Spiers, Martin Simpson, Wildwood Kin, Faustus, Roy Bailey, Whapweasel, and Blackbeard's Tea Party. There's also Imar, CC Smugglers, William The Conqueror, Tankus the Henge, JigDoll Ensemble, Lady Maisery, Whetstone Brinsford Kirkpatrick, The Rheingans Sisters, Inlay, Reg Meuross, Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne, Steve Turner, and Pon Aelius. There's many more acts to be announced in the coming months.
Along with the above there's also ceilidh and dance with Whapweasel, Tickled Pink, Louis Louis Louis, Urban Folk Theory, Committee Band, Dartmoor Pixies, Bristol Ceilidh Quartet, Polkaworks, Peeping Tom, Frog on a Bike, King Contra, and Valiant Dance Band. Plus there's a hands-on workshop programme, street theatre, circus skills, storytelling, talks, and more.

Tickets are priced £119 (plus camping £26 extra)
Concessions £115 (camping £26 extra)
Youth (12-17yrs) £84 (camping £65 extra)
Child (5-11yrs) £49 (camping no extra)
Tickets for children aged under 5 are free - they must be ticketed.
