Levellers have been announced as the first headliner for Lindisfarne Festival 2018, which takes place on Beal Farm, in Northumberland from Thursday 30th August to Sunday 2nd September 2018. They will perform on the mainstage on Saturday as part of their celebrations of their 30th anniversary this year.
Conleth Maenpaa, founder of Lindisfarne Festival, talked about the booking:
"We are absolutely thrilled to have landed The Levellers for this year’s festival. They have long been (and still are!) one of the best live bands around and they fit the vibe of the event perfectly. Following the success of our recent crowdfunding campaign, we decided that we would crowdsource a good percentage of our 2018 line up from audience recommendations and The Levellers proved to be an extremely popular choice.
They’ve had 7 Top 40 albums, including the number 1 album Zeitgeist and a platinum-selling album in 1991 called Levelling the Land. With their big anniversary taking place this year, we know everyone is going to be in for a phenomenal show.”
Also announced to appear across the festival are The Showhawk Duo, Ferocious Dog, Hattie Murdoch, Martha Raine, Awry, and Tom Mouse Smith.
They join a number of acts that have already been announced, including Bombskare, Detroit Social Club, Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5, Bessie & The Zinc Buckets, Mickey 9s, Hip Hop Hooray, Dansi, Sea Bass Kid, and more.
Tickets are on sale currently priced as follows:-
adult Thurs-Sun (inc camping): £89 (full price £105)
adult Fri-Sun (inc camping): £75 (full price £90)
Saturday only (inc camping Saturday night): £55 (full price £65)
