new Paradise Heights development and line-up announced for Boomtown fair

A new development named Paradise Heights has been announced for Boomtown Fair 2018 Chapter 10 which takes place at Matterley Estate, nr. Winchester, in Hampshire from Thursday 9th until Sunday 12th August 2018.

Paradise Heights will replace the old Mayfair district, offering a little bit of luxury with a backdrop of bass, soca, funk & soul. The district will hold a tagline "Feel better about yourself, become someone else" and will feature a different style each night.

The stage will open on Thursday as Hotel Paradiso, featuring underground classics, hip hop, swing, soul, and disco, from Jenna & the G's, Oh My God! It's The Church, Cut Capers, Too Many T's, Pearls Cab Ride, Stephen Lewis & The Big Band of Fun, Big Mac's Wholly Soul Band, Daytoner, Mama Nice, and Richard Cordle - Black Pimps On Acid.

Friday offers a worldwide carnival, by Love Carnival Meets Tropical Tea Party presents..., including sets from Kuenta i Tambu, Skip & Die, Poirier, The Busy Twist & Zongo Abongo, Mina ft Bryte, DJ Hiphoppapotamus, Mama Afr!ka, Afro Cluster, Emily Dust, Camo Clave, Mango Park, Ru Robinson, and Love Carnival Soundsystem: Madmax & Cal Jader.

Bristol collaborative Swing N Tings will host the area on Saturday, bringing vintage remix and electro swing with Swingrowers, Dutty Moonshine Vs Howla ft Maria Laveau, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, Jenova Collective, The Sweet Life Society, Mista Trick (live), C@ In The H@, CatJam, Captain Flatcap, Jaye and Foe Band, Rum Buffalo, Extra Medium, and Doctor Hooka.

Sunday will feature a takeover by Electrikal Sound System - Soca Street Party!, fusing soca music and Bristol bass, with performances by Jus Now, Dub Boy ft Jonesy Wales, AAA Badboy, Just Vibez, and Electrikal Sound System.
