This is Tomorrow, a new festival which took place at Spillers Wharf, Newcastle Upon Tyne for the first time this summer has announced its return for a 2nd edition, to a new location of Exhibition Park on Newcastle's Town Moor, on the bank holiday weekend of Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May 2019.
The Friday will feature acts to be confirmed, while the Saturday will be headlined by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, who will be joined by The Vaccines, Editors, Glasvegas, RedFaces, and local band Feva.
Speaking about today's announcement, SSD Concert's Steve Davis, said: "The people of the Newcastle and the North East are in for something truly special when This Is Tomorrow lands. It will be futuristic in its vibe and we have many special things planned. Last year we started the This is Tomorrow legacy but our long-term plan for the festival means we're always looking to push the boundaries to improve our overall offering and re-locating to Exhibition Park will be a truly fitting space for an event of this size and calibre. We can't wait to see some truly iconic and legendary bands and artists coming to Newcastle and we're proud to be able to confirm Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds as our first headliner. Noel constantly smashes the boundaries of what's of possible musically, recreating himself with every album. He is a fitting addition to the festival and will blow the crowd away outdoors in the summer sun!"
Tickets for the Saturday will go on sale at 10am on Friday 23 November, priced at £49.
NOTE: ages 16+ only.
