With 2019's Glastonbury Festival due to happen next week, Fleetwood Mac have put themselves firmly in the frame for next year's event after saying they'll be playing "a rained out festival in England next year" at their show at Wembley Stadium last night. This adds to what eFestivals was told around 6 weeks ago by an excellent Glastonbury source, that Fleetwood Mac would be definitely be appearing "within 5 years".
Other early rumours for next year include Elton John, Madonna, and Blur. Less likely is Paul McCartney who we hear is not expected to play despite what organiser Michael Eavis said on camera a few months ago.
Fleetwood Mac have hinted at Glastonbury before but nothing happened. Perhaps this time the rumours are true?
Glastonbury Festival 2020 takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset with the expected dates (still to be confirmed) from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June. Tickets are expected on sale in early October.
