The 10th edition of Long Division Festival, which takes place in the city of Wakefield, Yorkshire, from Thursday 4th May to Sunday 7th June 2020, has announced the first acts for its multi-venue music festival on Saturday 6th June.
Leading this announcement are Sunderland post-punk stalwarts The Futureheads, British multi-vocalist, beatboxer and comedian Beardyman, lo-fi DIY heroes The Lovely Eggs, She Drew The Gun, Brix & The Extricated, and Lanterns on the Lake. There's also festival favourite Beans on Toast, along with Allusinlove, Big Joanie, Hands Off Gretel, Too Many T's, Look Mum No Computer, Hyde Park Brass, Pozi, Mt Doubt, West Wickhams, Foundlings, Martha Hill, Low Hummer, Ruthie, Langkamer, Fonda 500, Lemon Drink, Tiger By The Tail, Life Model, Bunkerpop, MT Misery, One Day, After School, The New Nostalgia, Macroscope, Jodie Nicholson, SAMH, and HerTiltedMoons. There's over 40 more acts to be announced.
Long Division director Dean Freeman said "Reaching the tenth Long Division Festival is a huge landmark for us. Doing what do, in Wakefield, in an era of austerity, has been incredibly tough but also amazingly rewarding. Long Division Festival 10 is in part a look back at how far we've come - we've invited back some old friends and given the lineup a little more of a celebratory vibe than usual. But it's also a starting point for what could be the next ten years. We're now a group of people that work all year round and we're excited to use Long Division Festival to be a catalyst to develop our city and positively impact the music industry. "
Saturday tickets are on sale, currently priced from £30.
