The first wave of the line-up has been revealed for We Out Here Festival which is co-curated by broadcaster and DJ Gilles Peterson, his label Brownswood and radio station Worldwide FM, and returns for its 2nd edition takes place at Abbots Ripton, Cambridgeshire (the old Secret Garden Party site) from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd August 2020.
Live highlights include legendary saxophonist Archie Shepp performing with a big band; Detroit’s Underground Resistance presenting their ‘high-tech jazz’ show; new jazz pioneers Ezra Collective (pictured above), breakout star Greentea Peng; London collective Steam Down, and Tessela and Truss’ live duo, Overmono. The extensive electronic offering shows the festival’s love of club culture, with producer Floating Points playing all night long in The Forest, Gilles Peterson and Patrick Forge present “Another Sunday Afternoon At Dingwalls” and Kenny Dope will present a 30 year career retrospective. Other standout sets come from Mr Scruff, DJ of the moment Josey Rebelle, and Mo Wax boss, James Lavelle presenting ‘That’s How It Is’, the Monday Soho club night that he threw with Gilles Peterson from the early 1990s until 2005.

Children aged 0-15 are free but need a ticket.
Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
