'After careful consideration' the second wave of acts have been revealed for Splendour, Nottingham's annual family friendly music festival, which returns to Wollaton Park, Nottingham on Saturday 18th July 2020.
The announcement starts with...
After careful consideration, we’ve today made the decision to announce the next wave of artists for Splendour 2020. As the event isn’t for another four months, we’re hopeful and optimistic that this year’s festival will go ahead as planned; we’ll be working hard to ensure we can deliver a fun, safe and enjoyable event for all. We understand that things are changing rapidly, and no one knows what will happen in the next few months – so we’d like to assure all ticket buyers that if we need to postpone or cancel this year’s festival that you will be able to use your ticket for 2021 or receive a refund.
We’ve got some incredible music, comedy and fringe entertainment lined up for you, including our newly announced acts: THE VAMPS, RICK ASTLEY, BECKY HILL, SLEEPER, AMBER RUN AND TORI SHEARD.
Let’s stay positive and hopeful that we can party together on 18 July!

Headlining the Confetti Stage are four-piece The Vamps, and also on this stage (so far) are Britpop favourites Sleeper, along with the previously announced Belinda Carlisle.
The Main Stage is headlined by Supergrass, who are joined by James, and joining them are 80s troubadour Rick Astley, Becky Hill, indie rock-pop band Amber Run, and upcoming folk-pop singer-songwriter Tori Sheard. Opening the Main Stage will be the winner of the Future Sound Of Nottingham competition.
George Akins, DHP Family owner, says: "We’re delighted to reveal more exciting additions to the Splendour line up, with crowd-pleaser Rick Astley sure to get the whole of Wollaton Park singing along, incredible vocals and dance hits from Becky Hill, and Amber Run are back at Splendour. With plenty more to still be announced for the Confetti stage, as well as the full Courtyard stage line up, this year is shaping up to be one to remember!"
Tickets are on sale, priced at £53.50 for people aged 11 or above.
