All Points East’s IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD returns for this year with another four-day programme of FREE activities and entertainment in London's Victoria Park. In collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council, the local community and local organisations, the free programme takes place after All Points East's four days of of music.

Keeping the August bank holiday vibes going from Tuesday 31st August-Thursday 2nd September, there's an eclectic mix of free activities for all ages, including an outdoor cinema, live music and entertainment, irresistible street food, Craft Beer Fair, pop-up bars, panels & talks, theatre, sports & wellbeing activities, family activities and much more.

There's a Craft Beer Fair on Tuesday 31st August, complete with a whole host of local breweries, and a selection of street food on offer too, the full list of breweries and vendors are to be announced.

One of London's best free outdoor cinemas is back for another year with another incredible line-up of films for all the family. The movies on offer will be a mix of cult classics (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert), new releases (2019's The Lion King), musical favourites (Mamma Mia, Kinky Boots) and critically acclaimed blockbusters (2019's Little Women). Grab a picnic basket and come down early to get your spot.

If you fancy even more music after the All Points East weekend, head down to In The NBHD during the week to hear the best emerging musical talent, including shows curated by Continental Drifts, up-and-coming musicians from ELAM, and live music performances and DJ's in collaboration with Shesaid.so and Music Declares Emergency.

Sit down at Talkaoke, a pop-up talk show presented by The People Speak, where anyone can air their views around the table of chat. Channel your creativity with free art, design and woodwork sessions with Poetry In Wood, or let the kids get crafty and learn to make flower corsages with Flowers by Imogen - an expert in floral styling who works with 100% British and eco-conscious produce. You can even take a trip to the circus with aerial circus performances and free workshops with Upswing and, if that's not enough, you can serve up an ace on the free tennis courts with Tower Hamlets Tennis or have a relaxing massage from Helisa Therapies. You can also experience story-telling and dance with Queen of Sheba International, or immerse yourself in the UK's only queer Pan-Asian cabaret collective The Bitten Peach, who are dedicated to increasing and diversifying Asian representation on the drag and cabaret scene.

On Thursday 2nd September, Werk In Progress curated by The Glory, recreate East London's favourite LGBTQ+ performance hotspot. Whether you want to check out spoken word, live music, live art or some hilarious stand-up…. they've got it covered! Also on Thursday, see performances from the Gay Men's Dance Company in the dance tent.

Free thai boxing sessions are available in the Children's Area with the Thai Boxing Fighters Academy, who have been supporting the Tower Hamlets community since 2013. Alternatively, anyone can attend a bollywood dance workshop hosted by the amazing Shiva Raichandani, a multidisciplinary non-binary performance artist whose work harnesses the power of storytelling to create inclusive spaces for positive gender-diverse representation. East London street crew IMD LEGION will be giving free performances and workshops too, for all ages to experience their energetic and powerful sets.

The School of Noise is also heading to Victoria Park this summer. Take part in their workshops which include exploring the science of sound, playing unusual instruments, composing experimental sound art, conducting orchestras of fruit and vegetables, soundwalks plus so much more. There's plenty for children and adults of all ages with the magical and witty storytelling by Half Moon Theatre on the Bandstand, plus fire up your imagination with pop-up puppet shows by Bus King Theatre.

Bangladesh at 50 on Tuesday 31st August with a range of free activities, including 'carrom boards', children's story-telling and Bangladeshi folk dance workshops from Showmi Das in the Dance Tent. Plus, there will be a screening of Concert from Bangladesh, a project by UBIK Productions and Samdani Art Foundation. Also in collaboration with Shezad Dawood and in partnership with Yorkshire Sculpture International and Chisenhale Gallery, it is supported by the British Council Digital Collaboration Fund, which supports UK and overseas cultural partnerships to develop digitally innovative ways of collaborating.

MoreYoga returns after two fantastic years at All Points East, helping you unwind on your lunch break or after work in the natural and calming setting of Victoria Park, with free sessions every day.

John Biggs, Mayor of Tower Hamlets said: "After the challenges of Covid-19 and the disappointment of missing many major events last year, I welcome the return of All Points East and In the Neighbourhood to our award-winning Victoria Park in August. Our agreement with the organisers ensures that our local community benefits from a three-day programme of free music and activities with more local businesses and artists than ever taking part, along with themed celebrations to mark Bangladesh at 50, this year's In the Neighbourhood promises to be extra special. We look forward to welcoming families and festival-lovers alike to one of the capital's greatest events."

Jim King, CEO of European Festivals at AEG Presents added: ""We're so pleased to bring In The Neighbourhood back to All Points East this year, in collaboration with Tower Hamlets. It is a real celebration of the local area, and we're lucky to have all these fantastic local businesses and vendors join us in Victoria Park for three days of free activities and entertainment. Whether it's a dance class, theatre or craft workshop, there really is something for everyone."
