FINAL HEADLINER ANNOUNNCED FOR BELLADRUM 2023

Global phenomenon and one of the worlds most streamed acts, BASTILLE have been announced as the third headliner for Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival next summer alongside a host of new names. They join previously announced headliners Scottish legends TRAVIS and rising pop star SIGRID.

Bastille’s chart-conquering twice No.1 debut album ‘Bad Blood’ which featured the international hit, ‘Pompeii’ wasthe biggest-selling digital album of 2013. They became that year’s biggest-selling global breakthrough act, with over a billion Spotify streams earning them the British Breakthrough Act award at the 2014 Brits, along with two Grammy nominations. Since then ‘Bad Blood’ has gone triple platinum and sold over 1 million copies in the UK alone.

Bastille’s second album ‘Wild World also scored a No.1 in the UK, and Top 5 in the U.S, going Gold in the process. The record’s lead single, Good Grief achieved the most week-one streams ever for an alternative single and scored them a nomination for Best British Group at the 2017 Brits. In 2018 the band collaborated with Marshmello onhit single, “Happier”. The track topped charts around the world, with cumulative streams exceeding 3.5 billion, is now certified 5x Platinum in the U.S. and has sold more than 15 million units in the rest of the world. It spent a record-breaking year at No. 1.

Also added to the bill is Scottish Singer-songwriter KT TUNSTALL who is set to return to the festival following her previous appearance in 2017, where she delivered one of the years’ standout performances. KT’s Mercury Prize nominated debut album ‘Eye to the Telescope’ featured the tracks ‘Black Horse and the Cherry Tree’, ‘Other Side of the World’ and ‘Suddenly I See’ and she has since cemented herself as one of Scotland’s favourite artists.

Other acts announced include; Indie Rock band THE ZUTONS will make their Bella debut; while firm festival favourites ALABAMA 3 and Scottish alternative rock band FATHERSON will both make a welcome returns to the festival.

The line-up also features some of 2023’s most tipped rising artists; KATIE GREGSON-MACLEOD the local singer-songwriter who has gone truly global over the last few months following the viral success of her track ‘complex’; Liverpool four piece THE MYSTERINES who scored a top 10 with debut album Reeling and are set to support Arctic Monkey’s on their UK dates; Rolling Stone described ‘new grunge hero’ LAURAN HIBBERD and emerging Canadian pop singer-songwriter CATE.

Final acts for the moment include; Highland Folk legend DUNCAN CHISHOLM; Aberdeen natives, alternative rock band THE XCERTS; winners of the 2022 MG Alba ‘Up and Coming Artist of the Year’ VALTOS; CABLE STREET COLLECTIVE will bring their upbeat rhythms and Congolese influenced guitar sounds and Inverness’ singer-songwriter JAMES MACKENZIE complete the announcement.

Many more acts will be announced throughout 2023.
