BBC Radio 6 Music Returns To All Points East Festival For 2023

The BBC Radio 6 Music Stage will return to All Points East Festival this year, as announced by Mary Anne Hobbs on air today (Thursday 6^th July). All Points East takes place in Victoria Park, London from Friday 18^th – Saturday 19^th August, and Friday 25^th August – Bank Holiday Monday 28^th August, 2023.

The 6 Music Stage will feature an eclectic line-up of acts, including dreamcastmoe, Chloé Robinson, Indie Sleaze, Redlight, Kirollus and Peach, selected by some of 6 Music’s best-loved presenters.

Joining these artists on stage for DJ sets across the two weekends will be Gilles Peterson (Friday 18^th August), Mary Anne Hobbs (Saturday 19^th August), Steve Lamacq and Nathan Shepherd aka Good Future (Friday 25^th August) for an Indie Forever takeover, Jamz Supernova (Saturday 26^th August), Tom Ravenscroft (Sunday 27^th August) and Don Letts and Deb Grant (Monday 28^th August).

As the official broadcast partner of All Points East, 6 Music will also bring listeners performance highlights from across the weekend on air. Gilles Peterson (Saturday 19^th August, 3-6pm) and Mary Anne Hobbs (Monday 21^st August, 10.30am-1pm) will play out sets from their chosen line-ups over the opening weekend. On Friday 25^th August (9-11pm), Indie Forever will broadcast live from Victoria Park with sets from earlier in the day, and Jamz Supernova will bring listeners all the live action directly from the festival on Saturday 26^th August (1-3pm). 

In addition, throughout the following week (Monday 28^th August to Sunday 3^rd September), 6 Music will revisit some of the best moments from the festival in usual shows New Music Fix Daily (Monday 28^th – Thursday 31^st August, 7-9pm), Steve Lamacq  (Tuesday 29^th August, 4-7pm), Indie Forever (Friday 1^stSeptember, 9-10pm), Jamz Supernova (Saturday 2^nd September, 9-11pm), and Don Letts (Sunday 3^rd September, 10pm-12am).

All shows will be available to listen to on BBC Sounds after broadcast. 

Mary Anne says: “I’m delighted to be hosting a killer ALL QUEENS takeover on the 6 Music stage for the third year. My headliner is Chloé Robinson, who opened our first ever stage coming out of lockdown, and returns after meteoric success on dancefloors across the globe, to top the bill in 2023."

Luno presents All Points East takes place in Victoria Park each August and this year will see performances from Stormzy (Friday 18^th August), Aphex Twin and Bonobo (APE Presents Field Day – Saturday 19^th August), The Stokes (Friday 25^th August), Jungle (Saturday 26^th August), Dermot Kennedy (Sunday 27^thAugust), HAIM (Monday 28^th August). The 2022 festival saw headline sets from Gorillaz, Tame Impala, The National, Disclosure and Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, with The Chemical Brothers and Kraftwerk performing at APE Presents Field Day that year.
