Taylor Swift yesterday announced the dates for the UK & Europe leg of her Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour causing the rumour mill to churn at dizzying speed both amongst fans and press alike after people noticed a ‘gap’ in her European Tour dates.
Those who didn’t pay too much attention to the actual dates even suggested she’s to make a surprise appearance before the week is out on Sunday... this year.
Or as a regional newspaper put it “The Anti-Hero singer is performing in London tonight (June 21) and tomorrow night but then isn't performing again (officially) until June 28, when she travels to Dublin. This gap is when some are suggesting her Glastonbury appearance could fall, Sunday (June 25) to be precise”.
So just to make it clear, the UK & Europe leg of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour will kick off on 9 May 2024 in Paris and wrap up on 17 August 2024 in London. Nothing is scheduled for the 30th of June, the (likely) final day of next year’s Glastonbury festival.
Mind you, she could still join Elton John on stage this Sunday.
I’m sure Emily Eavis will do her very best to get Taylor Swift to Headline after her 2020 slot had to be cancelled due to COVID….she may have her booked already.
Having been criticised for producing all male Headliners for this year’s event, Emily Eavis already announced in a recent interview that next year will see 2 female headliners, both Glastonbury newbies, so the bets are most definitely on.
To help tickets reach the hands of fans who want to attend the ERAS tour, there will be the opportunity to register for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour tickets ahead of the on-sale.
Registration is now open. Fans can register on each city’s official ticket registration page up until Thursday 22nd June at 11:59pm (local time) in the UK, and on Friday 23rd June at 11:59pm (local time) in Ireland and Europe.
