Founded in 1995 The Big Chill's main summer festival is held at Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire at the end of July/early August. The organisers encourage a "Leave No Trace" policy to dissuade people from littering the site. There are several stages and large tents.
Previously, it's run the Enchanted Garden at Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire, and one event at Lulworth Castle in Dorset.
In 2009 the festival was sold to Festival Republic after financial difficulties. Festival Republic first ran their The Big Chill festival in 2010.
