Crawley Folk Festival '11

Celebrating its 20th birthday Crawley Folk Festival is a weekend of folk and traditional music which runs from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th June in the wooded grounds of The Hawth Theatre, Crawley. The annual Crawley folk festival is a three day celebration of the best traditional and contemporary music that the folk scene has to offer!

Line-up

Friday - Warsaw Village Band, The Elevators.

Saturday - The Copper Family, 4Square, Spare Parts, The Cajun Dawgs, Fields To Foundry, Angles & JigJaw, Danny Kyle, Touchstone, The Flying Toads.

Sunday - The Demon Barber Roadshow, All Things Considered.

Ticket prices vary from £8 to £16 depending upon event, some events are free, and under 12s go free. To buy tickets, click here.

On site

Expect the facilities to include a theatre, five stages, a storytellers tent, free workshops and foyer performances, an even larger real ale tent, craft stalls - plus demonstrations in Morris and traditional folk dance and surrounding the theatre is lots of outside space. Apart from the ticketed events, there will also be the usual goodies on offer, including free performances, workshops, food stands, craft stalls and demonstrations in Morris and traditional folk dance. The beer festival will offer over 50 varieties of beers and ciders to choose from.

Ceilidh

The festival is expected to once again have a traditional ceilidh on Saturday afternoon and a stage which will play host to Irish and Celtic dancing and music throughout Sunday.

Camping

There are on site camping facilities priced around £10 which offer lots of space, and 24 toilet and shower facilities.
