Over the Moon Festival is the new name for Out of the Ordinary Festival is a celebration of life described through the arts, with a host of local, national and international musicians, installation art, theatrical performances, circus, cabaret, film and so much more.

The festival is a three day gathering set in fields and woodland of the Sussex Downs which takes place from Friday 14th until Sunday 16th September 2012.

Over the Moon is an intimate, non-corporate affair with a strong emphasis on environmental awareness. The event is predominantly powered on solar energy, with supplementation from wind power and bio diesel, food traders will cater to every pallet with ethically sourced produce, there will be activities and entertainments to suit folk of all ages with accessibility being a key concern. Family is of paramount importance.

Tickets

An early bird adult weekend ticket is priced at £70, an early bird youth (aged 16 - 17yrs) weekend ticket is priced at £35, a child (aged 7 - 15yrs) weekend ticket is priced at £25, and children aged under 7 years can attend for free, but require a ticket. Participation

Over the Moon is all about participation and, among the activities on offer, there will be opportunities to take music lessons, bush-craft, stone-carving, blacksmithing & wood turning workshops, eco-awareness talks, yoga, tai-chi & reiki classes, or to get involved in flash mob art installations.

Plus inspirational talks on subjects from astronomy to astrology, renewable energy to nutritional supplements, given by speakers at the forefront of their fields.

Theme

The theme for this year's Over the Moon Festival is "The Great Journey" represented by installations and performances designed to kindle the wonders of the imagination, the mystery of dreams, and the excitement of adventure.
