Rhythm Festival which offers three days of classic and modern acts on to main stages plus a host of 'fringe events', and will return for its fourth year from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd August.

The first acts confirmed for this year are headliners The Proclaimers (Friday), with Alabama 3 (Saturday), and James Hunter (Sunday). Plus other acts on Friday Glenn Tilbrook & The Fluffers, Gandalf Murphy & The Slambovian Circus of Dreams, Oli Brown Band, and Billy Jenkins Blues Collective. Saturday's line-up includes The Blow Monkeys, Terry Reid, The Beat, Jacqui McShee's Pentangle, Adrian Edmondson & The Bad Shepherds, and The Demon Barbers. Sunday has performances from Alvin Youngblood Hart, Eric Bell (Thin Lizzy) Band, Strawbs, and Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash. For the line-up details, and stage splits as available please click here.

Rhythm Festival - which started in 2006 - aims to be different from other outdoor music festivals, by being smaller (a capacity of under 5,000), friendlier and geared towards the festival goer. There's a kid's field (including things like mini olympics, workshops, entertainers and Panic Circus), a healing/alternative culture field, and a comedy stage.

The festival has a general store, as well as a large variety of high quality food at sensible prices. Plus, real ales, beers & lagers from the Pot Belly Brewery, Wells & Young's of Bedford as well as guest ales, and real ciders.

The festival site is semi-permanent, and includes flush toilets (augmented by portaloos), and proper roads and pathways. The arena is a drained grassy amphitheatre and many attractions are housed indoors. Showers have been hired for the (supervised) campsites and there'll be free car parking adjacent to the festival site.
