The Aeon Festival is now back on, and takes place over two days now during the August Bank Holiday on Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th August, and has moved from Dartmoor to Shobrooke Park Estate, Crediton, Devon.
The main (Prophecy) stage will see performances from Los Albertos, Tawiah, Lack Of Afro, The Ratfinks, Mad dog Mcrea, Matt Harvey (BBC Radio 4), Jerry Hart, Nathan Filer, Byron Vincent, Evi Vine, Chris Letcher, Red Paper Dragon, Le Chat Noir, Lemanis, and The Dharma Bums.
The acoustic performers include Talula, Supenik, Pom, David Sanders, Head of Programmes, Rooftop Gambler, Sm Ho, Swanstone, and Laura Jayne.
The DJs performing include DJ Cable, Mr Puckey, Heavy Stylus, Pot Luck Mix, High & Dry, Don Johnston, and M'Putu.
The Tea&JamtheChannel Tent returns to Aeon showcasing Beatz&Bobz, Rinseout, DibDub, Fruity Antics, Zero, Squeeze, and Lemon up.
There's comedy and poetry from Byron Vincent, Nathan Filer, Jerry Hart, Dave Berris Edwards, Jackie Juno, and Gabe.
There are still more acts to be confirmed for the weekend.
As well as the Main Stage, a DJ Stage, international and national award winning short film and animation, childrens arts and crafts, AV installation space, puppet theatre, graffiti crews, stalls and the return of Darcane Arts, art gallery and café. There is food, real ales and ciders too.
The festival organisers are hoping for a "laid back bohemian feel to the event, in the spirit of all the original festivals before commercialism prevailed."
Tickets will be priced at £30 including camping and are available from: Reform Records - Exeter, The Voodoo Lounge - Plymouth, and Crediton Information Centre. They are available online this year through pay pal on the myspace page. Cheques can be made out to AEON LTD. Under 12s are free but must be accompanied by ticket holding parent. Please bring ID for your child if they look older or you may be required to pay for full price ticket. 12-16 year olds must buy full price ticket and be accompanied by ticket holding parent/adults in their group.
The main gates open 10am and entertainment runs from 10am-1am each day, camping and parking is off the main site and a short walk across parkland to the orchard. Gates open 9am Saturday 23rd August but you can arrive on the Friday and leave on the Monday.
Camp fires will not be allowed on the main site or by tents this year but there will be a designated fire pit in the camping field for those who wish to stay up late. There will be 24hr security on both the main site and in the camping field as well as plenty of toilets.
Saturday night will be fancy dress for those who are up for it. The theme is Alice in Wonderland. Sunday morning from 10am is the dressing gown sessions in the dance tent. There will be a hammock village in the glade next to the Dome of Film and also the Chai Tea Lounge running in the evenings too.
