The scond of two December weekenders, All Tomorrows Parties - Nightmare Before Christmas curated by Battles, Caribou & Les Savy Fav will be held from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th December 2011 at Butlins Resort, Minehead, Somerset. ATP is a sponsorship free festival where the organisers and artists stay in the same accommodation as the fans.

Line-up

The event's curators Battles, Caribou & Les Savy Fav will headline and choose a line-up of 14 artists for one day of the festival. Les Savy Fav headline Friday, Battles the Saturday, and Caribou on Sunday.

Latest additions The Budos Band, Future Islands, Silver Apples, Roll The Dice, and Connan Mockasin.

Also announced are Hot Snakes, Pharoah Sanders, Violent Soho, Cults, The Field, Sun Ra Arkestra, Archers Of Loaf, Holy F**K, No Age, The Dodos, Marnie Stern, Wild Flag, Oxes, Surfer Blood, Total Control, Flying Lotus, Gary Numan, Bitch Magnet, Washed Out, The Psychic Paramoun, Thank You, Nisennenmondai, Walls (Live), Phil Manley's Life Coach, Dead Rider, Underground Resistance Presents Intersteller Fugitives, The Ex With Getatchew Mekurya, Junior Boys, Omar Souleyman, Factory Floor, Four Tet, Theo Parrish (4 Hour DJ Set), Toro Y Moi, Simian Mobile Disco (DJ Set), Matias Aguayo, and Orchestra Of Spheres. Tickets

Tickets are priced at £170 per person for room only and £180 per person for self catering. To buy tickets, click here.

Deposit scheme

ATP once again offered a deposit scheme for tickets. This offered a limited number of 4 berth apartments, both room-only and self-catering to be paid for with a small deposit upfront, and the remaining amount to be paid by the end of August 2011. These chalets were sold at full price.

People who wanted to hold a 4 berth self catering, paid a deposit of £70 per person, (£280 for the apartment). The remaining £430 must have been paid by Wednesday 31st August. There will also be a handful of 6 berth room only and self catered available too.

Book club

The annual Book Club's recommended reading list has also been announced. This year ATP will also be joined by literary journal Laphams Quarterly who will be running discussions on Visit From The Goon Squad and Blood Meridian on Saturday 10th December and on City Of Quartz on Sunday 11th December

Film

ATP will also present the European premiere of the documentary film 'Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory' at Nightmare Before Xmas.

Accommodation

Room Only accommodation offers either double, single or bunk beds with private bathroom and TV, but no kitchen facilities or lounge, more like a hotel room. Self Catering accommodation offers private bathroom, full kitchen facilities and separate lounge area with TV. Tickets are selling fast, and Room Only accommodation is available in 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 berth rooms, and Self Catering accommodation is also available in 4, 6, and 7 berths.

All tickets include a 3-day festival pass and 3 nights accommodation. Ticket includes performances starting from mid-afternoon, with around 40 acts set to play live across the weekend. There are four pubs and DJ sets through till late.

On site

Butlins Minehead looks out across a sandy beach. The site is equipped with a supermarket, newsagent, cash points and restaurants. Onsite facilities include an ATP programmed cinema, Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride - Ten-pin bowling and amusement arcade. Sports include Archery, Football, Basketball, Darts, Petanque, Fencing, Kwik Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Table Tennis, Outdoor Bowls and Crazy Golf.

Getting There by Road

Heading north the simplest route is to take the M5 to Taunton (Junction 25), then take the A358 and A39 to Minehead. Heading south on the M5, you can follow the signposts for the A39 from junction 24. Butlins Minehead Holiday Camp is just half a mile along the seafront road from Minehead town centre.

Getting There by Train

If travelling by train, the nearest main line station to Minehead is Taunton. A bus transfer service is operated by Southern National between Taunton Station and Minehead. This service is available at an additional cost. On Mondays to Saturdays, there's approximately an hourly service, with the last bus leaving Taunton Railway Station at 10:15 pm. On Sundays and Bank Holidays services run every 2 hours from 9:35 am - 9:35 pm. For general information call Southern National on 01823 272033.
