Nottingham has lots of music events, with one nearly every weekend, over the summer months, at the Arboretum Park. This particular community-orientated series of events features Nottingham bands and is designed to help local artists and musicians achieve some recognition, and to benefit the local community as a whole. The festivals also serve to highlight important ecological issues. Entry to all of these events is free.

Saurday, 27th May - Arboretum Festival, open from 12 noon until 6pm. With Rhythm workshops plus DJ Rick Donohue, the Leighton-Jones String Quartet and some acoustic heavy boogie blues from Old Basford.
Sunday, 28th May - Audio Massage in the Park, open from 12 noon until 5pm. This is anacoustic day in conjunction with Folkwit records featuring Foncherros, the Jezz Hall Band, and Trickster.

Sunday, 4th June - Nottingham Green Festival, open from 12 noon until 6pm.
Saturday, 17th June - Nottingham Live Music Festival, open from 12 noon until 6pm.
Sunday, 25th June - Nottingham Amity Family Festival, open from 12 noon until 6pm.
Sunday, 16th July - Nottingham Live Music Festival, open from 12 noon until 6pm.
Sunday, 27th August - Nottingham Live Music Festival, open from 12 noon until 6pm.

GETTING THERE:
The Arboretum Park is situated just 10 minutes walk from the Royal Centre just off Waverley Street. Festival goers can hop on the tram direct to The Arboretum and alight at the Nottingham High School tram stop.
