Apart from raising awareness and funds for the charity, the festival continues to support the local music scene from the grass roots level upwards. It is a policy of the festival to ensure at least 70% of the artist bookings are from Reading and the Berkshire area.

It will also continue to provide Reading students and the local community with valuable, hands on working experience in areas including music event/ project management, branding, marketing and photography.

Over 70 volunteers help Are You Listening Festival run smoothly, and the organisers would love to hear from anyone interested in getting involved this year!

Since the event launched in April 2013, it’s sold over 3,500 tickets and to date raised over £24,000 for Reading Mencap, a local charity that supports people with learning disabilities and their families.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

More information will be here when available.
