The Banbury Folk Festival takes place from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th October 2015 at various venues around the town of Banbury in Oxfordshire with main concerts at Banbury Town Hall, acoustic concerts and folk club sessions at The Banbury Cross pub (Home of Banbury Folk Club) and other venues in the centre of Banbury.
Line-up
The first acts confirmed are Roving Crows, Bob Fox, TRADarrr, Fiddler and the Fool, The Rachel Hamer Band, FolkLaw, Hector Gilchrist, Patti (Spoons) Smith and Ned Clamp, Andrew McKay & Carole Etherton, and Bill Bates.
Tickets
A weekend ticket is priced at £51 and includes free camping, a Friday evening ticket is priced at £18, a Saturday all day/ evening ticket is priced at £28, a Saturday day ticket is priced at £18, a Saturday evening only ticket is priced a £18, and a Sunday all events ticket is priced at £18. Prices do not include booking fees.
Festival goers can expect main concerts and acoustic concerts, folk club sessions, music and song sessions, storytelling , late night sessions, a Ceilidh, Morris Dancing, a Big Sing, a Singing Breakfast and workshops.
Camping
Camping is available for caravans, camper-vans and tents at Drayton Leisure Golf Centre, which is also a festival performance venue. There are toilets and showers. Camping for Friday and Saturday nights is included in the Season ticket for weekend ticket holders only. Extra nights can be arranged with the Golf Centre. A shuttle bus service will run between the campsite and the Town Hall.
Pets
Dogs and other animals, apart from Guide Dogs, are not allowed at Banbury Town Hall. Animals are allowed on the campsite but dogs must be kept on the lead when near the Golf Course.
Accommodation
There is plenty of Hotel and Bed & Breakfast accommodation in the locality.
Parking
For those who commute to the festival there is plenty of car parking available at Banbury Railway Station car park only a couple of minutes away from the main venues. The station's own parking charges apply.
