Now in it's fifth year, the festival is again open from midday to midnight on both days. This year, H20:BEACHED is expanding, with an orchestral concert taking place on Friday 19th August. The orchestral programme will be made up of popular orchestral classics, and classical arrangements of more modern music.

As well as the orchestra, there will be the usual H20:BEACHED mix of bands and artists from Scarborough and the local region, as well as more established acts headlining the event. The line-up for this year’s festival has now been announced and includes:

On 20th August: Electric Eel Shock; The Black Velvets; Black Night Crash; The Southern Electrics; New Rhodes; Tourisimo; Blunderbuss (ex Terrorvision); Smother; The Variants; Puritan; Dean Howard; Six Foot Daze; Fuzzgun and Sniper.
21st August: The Bluetones; Amsterdam Parisman; 59 Violets; Livingston; The Yards; The Stanleys; The Young Offenders; ILiketrains; Lee Latchford-Evans Band; Royal Vegas; The Tall Boy; The Charmins and many more. Facilities on site include a licensed bar, food outlets, a viewing area for disabled people, and the usual gathering of boutique stalls that is the Beached Village.

There may also be a series of fringe events planned - watch this space as news becomes available.

There's camping this year, about 10 minutes walk from the site but places are limited so it's worth booking that or other accomodation well in advance because Scarborough is a popular holiday resort.
