This week-long, friendly festival is held in and around the historic port of Bideford, situated in beautiful North Devon. Taking place from Monday 10th to Sunday 16th August 2009 at many venues in and around the centre of Bideford and at Edgehill College, there are concerts, sessions, dances, and workshops with plenty of opportunity for musicians and singers to join in.

There are loads of music events, dance sessions (including Morris Dancing around the town on Saturday) and workshops with local performers as well as those from further afield plus a bar at most venues.

The festival includes a 350-seater theatre and also features a unique concert venue, the Kathleen & May, the last working sailing ship.

The acts confirmed for 2009 so far include The Demon Barbers Roadshow, Spiers & Boden, Jackie Oates , Chris Millington, David Munnelly Band, The Maybelles (USA), The Navvies Wife (show), Bursleden Village Band & Sibby, Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer, Barron Brady, Mick Ryan & Paul Downes, Pete Coe, Jim Crawford Blues Night, Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll, Two Billy's, Dambuskers, Rocas, Coracle, Bloatertown Band, The Oggle Band, Nicola Clark Roy Clinging, James Findlay, Niamh Boadle, Stealing Sheep, Andrew McKay & Carole Etherton, Jim Watts, GU4, Jonny Kearney & Lucy Farrell, Maggie Duffy, Roger Watson, Ian Briggs, Paul Cowley, Amy Newton, and Jaywalkers.

There will also be National, International and local South West artistes attending a day of dance, at the weekend Morris Festival, with Irish Session, The Big Sing, The Big Music Session, Lunch time dances, meet the artistes, workshops, song and music sessions.

Dance sides include Firestone, Shropshire Bedlams, Martha Rodens Tupenny Dish, Red Petticoats, Borderline, Black Bess Border, Bristol Rag Morris, Dead Horse Morris, England's Glory, Heather & Gorse, Red Stags Morris, and Cogs & Wheels.

Expect a line-up of artists, covering the traditional to the contemporary, there will be something for everyone in the audience to sit and listen to, and soak up the atmosphere.

Individual Nights: Festival Camping: Adult camping is priced at £8.00 - per night/per person and U/16's £4.00 per night/per person.

The Festival camp site is 3 minutes drive or a 20 minute walk (alongside the River Torridge). There are showers and toilets on-site and a marquee for informal sessions. Well behaved dogs are welcome. The organisers hope to provide a food van for breakfasts etc. The camp site opens at 3pm on Monday, 10th August and closes at 10am on Monday 17th August.
