Big Chill @ Eastnor Castle 2007

The dates for 2007 are confirmed as Friday 3rd until Sunday 5th August. Expect a mix of chilled beats from live bands and DJs, plus the media mix, a body & soul area, kids area, workshops, visuals, etc.

Car park tickets will be available on the gate. Please have £5 ready upon arrival, to save time and possible queues.

Many acts are confirmed including Kruder and Dorfmeister, Earl Zinger, The Cinematic Orchestra, Mika, Isaac Hayes, Paul Hartnoll presents The Ideal Condition, Seasick Steve, Crazy P, The Blockheads, Ulrich Schnauss, Ojos de Brujo, Tunng, Norman Jay, Bonobo, Konono No1, Bombay Dub Orchestra, Ty, Low, Marky and Stamina MC, High Contrast, Richie Havens, London Electricity, Digital Mystikz, Loefah, Mr Scruff, Prins Thomas, Morgan Geist, Kevin Rowland, Another Fine Day, Nearly Dan & many more - click here for the details to date. This year artworks will spread from their hill spot to occupy the whole festival site with a mix of large and small scale commissions, drawing on and playing with the festival experience and its landscape. Artists include: Heather Ackroyd & Dan Harvey, Ben Blakebrough, C6, Sherrilee Cooper & Brendan Coates, Godfried Donkor, The Magnificent Revolutionary Cycle Cinema, Semiconductor, Zoe Walker & Neil Bromwich.

New this year, the Media Mix tent will be accompanied by a new neighbouring arena. Big Chill Nights will be full of theatre, fun and frolics, featuring: Cine Soundsystem, Circus Skills workshops Circus Space presents..., Club Fromage Emporium of Smut with Slow Alfie and Skinny Jim, Concert Grand Masters, Dancing girls, De-restricted/ Shooting People short films, Divine Company The Firegowns, Yoda's Amazing Adventures, Fish Seeks Bicycle, Future Shorts, Future Cinema feat Little Boat and Kora, Gardner Post and Brian Kane formerly EBN with DJ Tom LaRoc of Miami Beach, Halloween Society feat VX Auteur Theory short film selection (from the 2007 Halloween Short Film Festival), John Hegley and the Popticians, Light It!, Bowen the Casio Queen, and more.

On-site facilities include a shop selling groceries & newspapers, bars, food stalls, merchandise stalls, cash point machine and a 24 hour cafe amongst other things. Alcohol cannot be brought into the main arena but is permitted in the camping areas (but NO GLASS!).

The site has four lakes, thick woods and an arboretum set near Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire.

The event is for 18's and over unless accompanied by an adult.

Anyone attending in a live-in vehicle must have a campervan ticket. Awnings are allowed and a maximum of 2 tents with each vehicle. Cars are not allowed in this area.

Disabed Facilities
The venue is a general campsite that has disabled toilets & showers, please contact Big Chill HQ before the event for more information.

No fires or foil BBQs are permitted on site, although BBQs on legs are allowed. No pets allowed. No video cameras allowed. No amped music or sound systems allowed.

Tickets can no longer be bought online, but they will be available at the box office. Car parking tickets will be available to buy on the gate if you don't already have one; please have £5 ready upon arrival, to save time and possible queues.
