Blissfields is an intimate festival for all the family in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. This is a festival for 2,500 people who want something as far removed from the big commercial festivals as you can get! There will be quality food and beer on sale all at a reasonable price.

Blissfields returns from Thursday 29th June to Sunday 1st July 2012 (no music Sunday), and will return to Woodmancott, in Hampshire, in the South of England.

Line-up

The latest addition is Charlotte Church, who will "make a very special appearance on the second stage" to "showcase a raft of new material with a full band in a truly unique environment".

Noisettes will headline the Saturday night, whilst Patrick Wolf will play a special acoustic performance. Stages

Music takes place across five stages: The main open air stage; The Bradley Bubble a Big Top Stage offering mixed entertainment including local acts, open mic and after hours fun; Tractor Disco Stage (DJs) – An open air carnival on a tractor trailer for all day frivolity; The Hidden Hedge - a secluded hideaway in the woods, with chilled atmosphere and secret appearances/performances; and The Campfire which offers acoustic, DIY, and other entertainment.

Tickets

Early bird weekend tickets are no longer on sale. An adult ticket is priced at £74 for the weekend with camping, £49 for those aged 6-15 for the weekend with camping, children aged under 6 are free, there is no separate tariff for those not camping. No under 16's to camp unless accompanied by an over 21 years of age. Campervan tickets are priced at £35, and Thursday camping is an additional £16. There will be a £10 charge made on arrival for all vehicles, excluding those with valid campervan/caravan pass.

Weekend Family Tickets (2 Adult & 2 Youth weekend tickets) are priced at £210, and a weekend 10 adult tickets for the price of 9 offer is priced at £666. Day Tickets will be on sale at a future date.

Opening hours

The event offers Thursday night extended camping from 4pm on Thursday 28th June, music and art workshops for adults and kids plus other assorted fun. Organised entertainment will run from 4pm Friday 29th June until 4am Sunday 1st July 2012. The campsite will be open from 4pm Thursday until 6pm Sunday. Plus tractor rides, pub price drinks with quality real ales and cider, food, craft, and festival stalls.

Fancy dress

As always, Blissfields has themed this year's event and is encouraging attendees to lose themselves in fancy dress of the most absurd festival garb. Blissfields will celebrate the world of sport with a full programme of sports day events, a school disco and remember the last day of school.

With opportunities to represent your House, as well as vote for Head Boy and Head Girl. Although Blissfields will not be strict on the dress code, they warns they may have to employ Hall Monitors to make sure you are all upholding the Blissfields reputation.

TrackSuit&Tie will be curating the 'last day of term' style fun with Old Skool 80's inspired Sports Day classics, like the in the sack race, Egg & Spooning, 7-legged challenge, Space Hopper Long-Jump, Hipster Swingathon, , Sock Wrestling, Balloon Fencing Championships, Dangerous Dressage, Royal Tea, and the grand finale of Blissfields Sports Day will be The Tug of War.

Fun for kids

Blissfields is adventure-packed for kids with Family Arts And Crafts, Juggling and Circus Workshops, Puppet Shows, Hula-Hooping, Magicians, face painting, lantern making, story telling, open mic and campfire jamming, sculpture building, drumming, knitting, fire building classes, and green crafts.

Road To Blissfields 2012

Local bands are being offered the chance to play Blissfields 2012. Four acts, announced in early February, will be chosen to compete in each town. A winner from each night will then go on to play at Blissfields Festival 2012. Bands can enter via www.blissfields.co.uk where they'll find an application form.

Festival ethos

Blissfields supports awareness and fund raising for their chosen charity Practical Action. The festival has a green ethos, incorporating recycling, and awareness of environmental issues during the weekend.
