Off-site learning

Blissfields have a scheme whereby children can attend the festival without missing any school. Due to the number of activities in the Angel Gardens arena, under 13's can officially count Blissfields as off-site learning, meaning that they won’t be marked as absent while at the event. The festival will provide all you need to make this happen, including an Absence Request Letter and a 'Blissfields Passport'.

Angel Gardens have skilled educators, play workers and therapists all of whom work together to provide immersive and educational activities for the children that enter the space at Blissfields. While they are not a school, they are educators and are firm believers that education can exit the classroom occasionally. All activities and workshops are designed to fulfil educational learning aims and objectives that can be used to enhance the education of all the children who attend the festival.

Angel Gardens have produced an absence request letter to hand to a school or educational body to allow off site education of a child (if under 13 years). By using the classification of ‘educated off site’ in the register, children are legally able to be absent from school on the agreed days. This term is a common and well-used method that schools use when children are experiencing learning outside of school and many schools welcome the chance for their pupils to experience these situations as it enriches not only their lives, but the school as a whole.

Just email education@blissfields.co.uk and include your ticket reference number and organisers will send a letter for your school.

Fancy dress

As always, Blissfields has a theme each year and this year's is 'The Bizarre'. Organisers are, "once again creating a playground from the imagination for you to discover across the intimate site. With brand new art installations planned to bring the bizarre to life, this corner of English countryside will be a vibrant backdrop to one of the biggest celebrations of… odd.."

Fun for kids

The place for little ones is packed with award-winning fun, games and activities that the whole family can get involved in, with storytelling, acrobatics, a fire show, and all sorts to entertain all day long.

Craft area

A recent addition to Blissfields, this gorgeous woodland area is where the bigger kids can enjoy activities including tie-dying, wood carving, chainsaw carving, with a blacksmith and leather workshop among other things.
