The 12th UK international Boogie Woogie Festival will be held at The Club Room, Sturminster Newton British Legion, Bath Road, in Sturminster Newton, in Dorset from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd July 2016, and was formerly the 'Fomag' Boogie Woogie festival held in nearby Fontmell Magna.

Line-up

Headline acts Jo Schumacher, Chris Conz, Lasse Jensen, and Julian Phillips, are joined by Hamish Maxwell, Mike Denham, Big John Carter, Patrick Smet, Eeco Rijken Rapp, Jelly Germain, Caroline Podetti, Izi Onslow, Stephane Swervy, Dan Moore, Howard Meyrick, Patrick McGuinness, Diz Watso, and Helen Sillett.

The festival encompasses acts performing the form of piano music that is boogie woogie. Performing in concert, will be internationally acclaimed boogie woogie and blues pianists from the UK and from all around the world.

Early bird tickets are priced from £45 for an all event pass, with tickets for children under 14 years half price. An all event ticket for Saturday is priced at £36, other options also available.

There are also workshops in boogie woogie piano, swing and tap dance, drumming, history of boogie woogie and more with special workshops for children. There will also be informal sessions for enthusiastic boogie woogie pianists with a traditional bar room setting. Plus there will be food, wine, and real ales on offer at the inn.
