The Portuguese biennial Boom Festival celebrates it's 10th edition taking place at Idanha-a-Nova Lake, in Portugal near the Spanish border. It is about 250 km inland from Lisboa. The closest Portuguese main city is Castelo Branco. Boom takes place for a week from Monday 4th until Monday 11th August 2014.

The event features music, art, sculpture, video, installations, cinema, theatre around the concept of crosspollination of different art forms for 'a gathering of the psychedelic tribes'. This year's theme is 'The Feminine' and Mother Nature.

Line-up

A line-up of international and local acts, plus artists, speakers, actors, activists, performers, lecturers, and more across eight main areas. The programme theme for this year is Alchemy.

The early bird options have ended. Tickets including camping are priced at 180 euros, plus booking fee.

Remember: Children under 12 years get free entry for the festival. Yet, considering the very high temperatures, loud noise and dusty air, we recommend parents not to bring children below 2 years of age!
