Now in its 9th year BoomTown Fair is a music, arts and family festival that takes place at Matterley Estate, nr. Winchester, Hampshire, and will run from Thursday 10th until Sunday 13th August 2017. This year's Chapter is titled 'Behind The Mask'.
The main stage line-up will consist of ska and party bands from around the world, with the other live music stages offering cabaret, gypsy, folk, reggae, dub and country and western. Plus loads of cabaret, comedy, spoken word, a range of stages, an anarchist theatre, lots of site art and many areas to explore with plenty of catering options, all the normal facilities you'd expect at a festival and a massive emphasis on eco-friendly initiatives. All attendees are encouraged to dress up in fancy dress, the fancier the better!
Line-up
There's loads confirmed - over 500 acts across nearly 30 stages in nine districts, including The Specials, MIA, Cypress Hill, Ziggy Marley, Sublime with Rome, Frank Turner, Toots & the Maytals, and many many more.

Activities & Workshops
Boomtown has over 100 activities and workshops, from crafts and skills such as blacksmithing, copper beating & chainsaw carving, circus skills workshops and play, to the mind & soul improving, to dance and yoga.
There's also a full programme for kids, with circus skills, workshops and crafts, science and learning and play and facepainting, and much more.
Tickets
Boomtown 2017 is sold out. A number of add-ons are still available - child tickets, car parking, camper vans, lockers etc, and posh camping.
Tier 3 city residency passes: £195 & ecobond deposit. - SOLD OUT
Child tickets (aged 12 years and under) are free and can be ordered by anyone 25 or over.
Family car (£20), campervan or caravan or trailer tent passes priced at £80 are also available.
There will also be a £7 booking fee and £10 refundable Eco Bond.
The festival also offers a deposit scheme where tier 3 tickets can also be purchased as split payment ticket for a deposit of £40 (+ £7 Booking Fee & £10 refundable EcoBond).
There is an option to donate £2 to Energy Revolution, to offset travel emissions.
For those paying the balance on a split payment ticket, final payments must be received by 5th June 2017.
Coach tickets are also available priced at £170 (Tier 2 price) + price of coach). This is the simplest way to get to the festival and 55 locations to choose from. Save time, money and the planet all in one easy hassle free mode of transportation!.
Eco bond
To keep the site free from litter, Boomtown offer festivalgoers an eco bond initiative to help keep the streets of BoomTown tidy. Ticket purchasers will be asked to pay an additional £10 eco bond deposit. On arrival at the festival attendees will be given a 'boomtown eco bag'. Organisers ask everyone to fill this bag with all their rubbish and hand it back into one of the drop off points for recycling, and have their £10 deposit returned.
Boomtique Village
Boomtique Village provides accommodation including bell tents, tipis, yurts, pods and cabins. Boomtique wristband upgrades provide access the Boomtique Village with compost loos, hot showers, a beauty tent with straighteners and hair dryers, hot tubs, sauna, chill out tent with phone charging points and more to help you forget you're actually at a festival, you paid good money for. Alternatively there's the Boomtique Deluxe wristband which give access to most of the Boom Deluxe Rooms fancy amenities across site.
