==========
BoomTown Fair - Chapter 12: New Beginnings - takes place at Matterley Estate, near Winchester, Hampshire, and will run from Wednesday 12th until Sunday 16th August 2020.
Boomtown follows a storyline that evolves each year and is played out across all areas of the sprawling city that is made up of 12 uniquely themed districts. It's theatrically-led and hundreds of actors bring the film-like street sets to life and alongside enjoying the musical programme they encourage the public to explore all the city has to offer, to become their inner character and be a part of the story themselves.
There's a new multi-stage show 'State of Emergency' that is set to unfold throughout the duration of the festival, in a dazzling display of modern-day circus and mind-bending technologies.
Boomtown is a family friendly festival and Kidztown is its dedicated family district that includes a main stage with a line up of headline artists playing from across the festival. There is a fully immersive high street with child sized venues, 100s of interactive workshops, forest school, to inflatables and skate ramps. It has family camping and car park, and facilities for all kids and families alike.
Along with the main live music stages and smaller street venues, there's a huge line-up of electronic acts on late-running stages, as well as reggae, dub, ska, gypsy, folk, and more. Plus cabaret, comedy, spoken word, impressive site constructions. All attendees are encouraged to dress up in fancy dress, the fancier the better!
