Brownstock Festival takes place at Brown Farm, Chelmsford, in Essex on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July 2009.

The line-up includes headliners The Holloways, and on Saturday Finley Quaye, The Thirst, The Philbys, Vzi, Stealing Signs, Kids Love Lies, and DJ Kaya. Sunday has The Joy Formidable, Kids Love Lies, The Vivians, The Brights, Tomb Crew,and Chris Mimo. Plus The Scanners, Illegitimate Sons Of The King, Syd And The Small Kids, Stealing Signs, Darwyn, Life Of Byron, Matt Cardle, Slow Acceleration, Projekt, Shiema, Casual Flyers, The Lies, Jess And Simon.

There will be over 40 up and coming artists showcased over three stages and The Bar House Party Bus. Acts selected for the second stage will represent a mixture of home grown Essex talent and acts from further afield. The third stage will be within a large tent hosting a selection of DJs to keep the party going into the early hours. DJs will be performing from the cab of a converted tractor.

Brownstock Festival started in 2004, and has a rustic endearing charm which they are determined to keep, no matter how big they get.
