The 21st community-led summer music event, the Bures Music Festival, takes place in the village of Bures on the Essex & Suffolk Borders from Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th July 2017.
Acts from all genres, from rock to blues, pop to choral, and jazz to ska, perform at this small, family-friendly event, with all proceeds going to local charities. It has given away almost £200,000 since 1997.
The Main Stage is in a big top and the bar is in a tent, so you won't get wet if it rains.
Line-up
Sunday: Doctor & the Medics, Anna Pancaldi, Who’s Next (Who Tribute), The Committed (Commitments Tribute), Medicine, Ministry of Mojo and Face Furniture 12.00pm-9.00pm
Saturday: Rhapsody, ELO Encounter, Reno & Rome, Broken Eyes, Stretch Soul Gang, Spacecake and Wooden Maiden. Authentic Queen and ELO tribute shows complete a day of the best local acts. 12.00pm-11.00pm
Friday: Blues & Rock Night with King King, Danny Bryant Band and the Back Porch. Award winning British Rock and Blues legends share Friday’s spotlight with Award Winning guitarist and his band. 6.30pm-11.00pm
Thursday: Jazznights presents Karen Sharp, Sue Richardson and Larraine Odell - all with The Jazznights Trio. Shakatak's Roger Odell hosts a night of classic jazz in St. Mary's Church. Doors open 7.00pm
Thursday: B-Fest. Showcase for local young musicians in the Big Top. 6.30pm-10.00pm
Wednesday:The Edmund Octet in St. Mary’s Church. Doors open 6.30pm
Tickets
Tickets are priced at £45 in advance for an adult 5 day pass, £20 for teens (aged 12-17 years), and children aged 11 years and under £5. A family ticket is priced at £110. Tickets also available for individual events.
Camping
Camping is £15 for a pitch which will cover 1 tent, caravan or motorhome.
The Bures Music Festival is a not-for-profit event, with all proceeds going to local charities.
