The many flavours of jazz from big bands, trad bands, jazz sextets and duos, plus blues from well known bands and performers are showcased throughout the town.

This popular Jazz festival returns over three days, from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October 2009, at a variety of venues from hotels and cafes to outside in the town square of this small Scottish town.

The Jazz acts confirmed for this year include Contact Us Links Location Performers 2009 Print Preparations are well underway for ths year's events. The jazz bands bands playing include Fat Sam's Band, Aidrian Drovers Slide Rule, Winstons's Pennine Jazz, The Tim Barella Big Band, Brass Impact, The George Penman Jazzmen, Havana Swing, Swing Guitars, Kit Carey's Jazz Band, The Trossachs Big Band, The Roger Cull Quartet, Jazzmain, The Maria Speight Quintet, Jan Douglas and Primetime, Moodswing, The Scott Madden Trio, The Jess Abrams Quartet, The Bobby Wishart Quintet, McCallum/Harrison Duo, The Thistle Saxaphone Quartet, The Frank Curran Quartet, McLaren High School Swing Band, South Ayrshire Schools Jazz Orchestra, The Bert Craig Trio, Quatro Mc Jazz, and The Rosie Blue Duo.

Blues will come from The Lyndon Anderson Band, Side Winder, The Revolutionaires, The Red Stripe Band, The Blues Devils, The Blues Juniors, The Bob Hall Show, B' and The Honey Boys, Mojo Rising, Main Street Blues, The Cherry Lee Mewis Band, The Sourmash Blues Band, Safe House Blues, The Rosie Blue Blues Band, Gavin Mooney, and Al Hughes.

Callander is the eastern 'gateway' town within The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The town is easily accessed from Junction 10 (Stirling) of the M9 and is located astride the A84 about 15 miles from that junction.
