The many flavours of jazz from big bands, trad bands, jazz sextets and duos, plus blues from well known bands and performers are showcased throughout the town.

The Jazz festival returns over three days, from Friday 28th until Sunday 30th September 2012, at a variety of venues from hotels and cafes to outside in the town square of this small Scottish town.

Line-up

King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys headline on Saturday with Jacqui Dankworth and her quartet headlining Sunday. Other acts include The Jiveoholics, The Revolutionaires, The Guy Tortora Band, The Zoey Gilbert Quartet, The Lyndon Anderson Band, Winston's Pennine Jazz, Howlin' Mat, Jazz Maine, The High Society Jazz Band, The Scott Madden Trio, Swing Sensation, The Cosmopolitan Big Band, The Pentatonics, The Jensen Interceptors, Baby Isaac, and Lewis Hamilton & the Boogie Brothers.

Tickets

An adult weekend rover ticket is priced at £45 (£40 if purchased before July 31st 2012). A Friday Rover tickets is priced at £10, a Saturday Rover is priced at £30, and a Sunday Rover ticket is priced at £20.

Individual event tickets (£5 per person) will be available on the door at the venues (Headline Performance £10) on the door for non-rover ticket holder).

Rover Tickets admit you to every festival performance in the event programme for the weekend or stipulated day, subject to to space being available. Please note that there is a boarding charge payable if you choose to go on the Sunday Jazz Cruise and that will be £15-50 per person. Getting there

Callander is the eastern 'gateway' town within The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The town is easily accessed from Junction 10 (Stirling) of the M9 and is located astride the A84 about 15 miles from that junction.

Free transport to and from Loch Katrine plus a shuttlebus service to McLaren High School, Callander Golf Club and The Gart and Keltie Bridge Caravan Parks will be provided and will leave from and return to South Ancaster Square.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in Callander.
