Cheltenham Jazz Festival features big international names alongside the best of British talent and a wide variety of performances across the week. The festival will run from Wednesday the 1st of May until Monday 6th May 2024.
The festival is hosted in a tented festival village in Cheltenham’s Montpellier Gardens, featuring a Big Top stage, the Jazz Arena, and a food, drink and market area. The festival will continue to use nearby venues the Parabola Arts Centre, Cheltenham Town Hall and the Daffodil restaurant.
Line-up
With a cross-generational theme that brings together jazz legends with the very latest new artists, the Festival will play host to a string of world-class artists including Jack Savoretti, UB40, Morcheeba, Courtney Pine, Snarky Puppy, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Baobab, Nubiyan Twist, Dionne Warwick, Gregory Porter, Bettye LaVette and the Ronnie Scott's Jazz Orchestra, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Huey Morgan, Brand New Heavies , Robert Plant, Snarky Puppy, Brad Mehldau, Theo Croker, corto.alto, Lakecia Benjamin, Jordan Rakei, Fatoumata Diawara, Zara McFarlane, Nadine Shah, Clare Teal and many more.
2024 will also see the return of the Parabola Arts Centre programme, which is dedicated to new, innovative music from around the world. Gracing the stage this year will be Trish Clowes, Dave Douglas, Sultan Stevenson, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and Nikki Yeoh,Charlotte Keeffe, Kit Downes and Norma Winstone.

In the Family Tent, there are number of events suitable for all the family including on Saturday, a Jazzlab for children aged 6+ featuring the opportunity to explore rhythms, sounds and styles, along with games - from £6.
Accommodation
This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area. The Cheltenham Jazz Festival attracts over 17,000 people annually, so if you want to stay in Cheltenham during this period booking accommodation in advance of the event is a must. Some of the hospitality packages available do include overnight accommodation.
