Green credentials

Croissant Neuf Summer Party boasts some seriously green credentials. Every aspect of the festival takes green issues to heart, from the organic nibbles and tipples sold at the stagger Inn to the recycling team and the magnificent Big Top that is powered entirely by solar panels without compromising on sound quality. With creative solutions such as planting 3 trees on site for every car that travels to the festival.

Family friendly

Run by a family with families in mind, Croissant Neuf Summer Party creates a safe, welcoming haven to take the kids to. The community spirit is as prevalent as the green ethos that permeates the festival.

As well as great music expect internationally renowned street theatre, workshops of all kinds from dancing to bushcraft, open mic sessions, sports activities, and more.

Fancy dress theme

Croissant Neuf have announced the Saturday night fancy dress theme will be 'Buccaneers and Brigadiers', and festival organisers will be on the look-out for the most imaginative offerings parading round the site. Even the bands get stuck into the theme.

Sports Academy

It's the year the Olympics are coming to Britain apparently and CNSP will- as with every year previously - have a plethora of games, sports and activities for young and old to enjoy. With fully qualified coaches the CNSP Sports Academy is free for all and open for business from 10am every day. The long list of 2012 fixtures includes cricket, rounders, touch rugby, ultimate Frisbee and the legendary five-a-side Sunday football tournament. There is even welly-wanging and tug of war in CNSP's very own Olympic Games. Fittingly for the festival all sports equipment is provided by ethical fashion and sports company Etheletic.

Circus

2012 will see the return of aerial performances and workshops from Circomedia- the Bristol-based centre of excellence in Circus Theatre training. Festivals with aerial capabilities are rare and this impressive outdoor rig is covered in twinkling lights, providing the perfect backdrop to the exhilarating Saturday night show featuring juggling, trapeze, silks, acrobatics and more. By day professional tutors oversee completely free trapeze have-a-go sessions that entice guests from the age of six to sixty (even older for the seriously agile!)

In addition to aerial fun there is a wealth of ground based circus equipment to utilise with tightwire, diabolo and hula hoops capturing the imagination of young and old. The twisted mutations of the crazy-bike creations reign in a dedicated following, determined to master the art of balancing on their wobbly wheels.

Crafts and workshops

For those with crafty tendencies and those who just want to try something new there is plenty to turn your hand t o- from wood carving to willow weaving or sticky label hat making. Yoga and other physical workshops are also on offer and all activities reflect the ethical ethos of the festival.

Facilities

As with last years event, all of the facilities on site - the venues, eateries, bar, toilets and general lighting (basically everything) are completely solar powered.

Firm favourites from such as the Masquerade Ball and the stunning Lantern Procession will be making a return along with all kinds of new and exciting features that offer something for all the family!

Food and drink

All food and drink will be as organic as can be and sourced from local suppliers where possible. The fully licensed bar will be serving locally brewed organic beer and cider and pub nibbles. It also functions as a venue for impromptu live music. The second venue from last year, Café Seren, which hosted live music while serving fresh food is also expected to return. The dining area tent includes a cabaret stage and larger soft furnished area.

Boutique camping

The offer of luxury onsite accommodation in the form of incredibly posh, yet reasonably priced yurts is expected to be available again in 2012.

More information will be here when available.
