Now in its 23rd year, Didmarton Bluegrass Festival, held annually at the Kemble Airfield site, in Gloucestershire is a bluegrass and acoustic music festival. Attracting the top names from the UK and international bluegrass scenes, the event takes place between Thursday 1st and Sunday 4th September 2011.

Line-up

Thursday night: Matthew and the Atlas, The Scoville Units.
Main festival programme: Chris Stuart and Backcountry, ahab, The Hot Seats, The Coal Porters, The Carrivick Sisters, The New Rope String Band, Contraband, A Band Like Alice, Quartier Francais, and The Jolenes, with more to announce.

Tickets

An adult full weekend ticket (inc. camping) is priced at £69, a two day Saturday & Sunday ticket (inc. camping) is priced at £64. Adult day tickets (all with no camping) are priced at £27.50 for Friday £35 for all day Saturday, and Saturday night only (after 5pm) £30, Sunday all day is priced at £30. The Thursday concert is priced at £15. Additional nights camping (per person/per night) is £6. Children aged under 14 are admitted free. To download a booking form (in html format) click here.

Other attractions

The festival offers a range of musical styles that also embraces blues, jazz, folk and everything acoustically in-between, packing in around 35 artists, during nine scheduled concerts along with instrument and dance workshops, bonfires, banjos and a biker run bar that never seems to close.

Didmarton also offers a raffle, displays, workshops, concerts, dance displays, instrumental seminars, the tuition tent, a wide range of traders and quality catering.

Camping

A full weekend ticket permits you to camp on site from Friday morning until noon on Monday of the festival weekend and has facilities and showers. Arrival on site is permitted from Wednesday afternoon. Additional nights (Wednesday and Thursday) are subject to a surcharge.

Please note that all the site facilities will be operational from Wednesday afternoon until Monday morning. The bar will be open from Thursday through to Sunday night.
