The Distraction Weekender 2008

Following on from the success of weekenders of previous years, the Distraction Weekender is now a three day event taking place from Friday 8th until Sunday 10th of August 2008, at The Cluny, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The weekend will feature 25 live acts on the North-Eastern circuit over three days with up and coming and established acts.

The line-up for Friday 8th August includes: School of Language, Milky Wimpshake, The Matinee Orchestra, Pale Man Made, St. James Infirmary, and Cuckoo's Nest DJs.

Saturday 9th August will feature: The Week That Was, Moira Stewart, Wroooaar!, Warm Digits, BluntWoundTrauma, B>E>A>K, The Black Static Of Summer, The Big Oaks, Nathalie Stern, with d_rradio (DJ) and DJ Search Warrant.

Sunday 10th August sees: Unicorn Love, Kylie Minoise, Seppuku, Mutant Ape, BONG, Eye Shaking Kingdom, Joe Pesci, Rough Sex Quartet, Michael Flatley Knifefight, Mariposa, Goathanger, and DJ Search Warrant and Jazzfinger Sound System.

Both Friday and Saturday will feature multi-screen visuals by VJs Louise Green and Caci.

Admission is £5 each day, only available at the door. Friday runs from 7pm until 1am; Saturday from 3pm until 1am and Sunday from 3pm until 11pm.
