Electric Picnic 2017

Ireland's complete music and arts festival that offers an array of fine music, theatre, comedy, holistic health and art. Musically it's a more eclectic mix of artists than the other Irish mainstream events.

Pod and Festival Republic present Electric Picnic back to celebrate it's 14th year, and held from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd September at Stradbally Hall Estate, Co Laois - less than an hour from Dublin.

Line-up

The confirmed acts include headliners, The Xx, A Tribe Called Quest, Duran Duran as well as Elbow, Pete Tong, Chaka Khan, Phoenix, Interpol, Run The Jewels, Mura Masa, Father John Misty, Everything Everything, London Grammar and many more. For full details of acts announced so far please see the line-up page.

As well as loads of comedy, spoken world, a range of stages, lots of site art and many areas to explore with plenty of catering options and all the normal facilities you'd expect at a festival, and an an emphasis on eco-friendly initiatives.

To be eligible for a discount, you will need to prove you’ve been before and in return you’ll get the discount code. The full discount is available to customers who have attended any 3 previous Picnics. If you have attended any 2 or less Picnics only one type of proof mentioned below will be required should you wish to request a code. To guarantee you get a discount code for Electric Picnic 2017, please submit your code request by 5pm Thursday 27th October 2016.

The festival will also feature Comedy & Spoken Word, Arts & Theatrics, the Arcadia area, Fosset's Circus, Art Trail, the Body & Soul area, Global Green & Greencrafts, the Eco Picnic, and Amnesty Ireland.

Public transport

Bus Eireann will be operating a bus service to Stradbally from Dublin, Cork, and Galway. Tickets can be booked on buseireann.ie. CoachestoConcerts.co.uk will operate a service from Belfast to the festival. Shuttle buses will operate between Portlaoise train station to Electric Picnic for those wishing to take the train.
