EVnLI Dayfest in this its first year is a one day event held at New Ollerton, Newark, in Nottinghamshire on Saturday 4th September 2010. The event is a family friendly festival in the heart of Sherwood Forest.

Line-up

Confirmed so far Exit Calm, The Beetroot kings, Euler, Mile High Mover, The Black fuzz, and Alf Parsnip. Strong rumours Detroit Social Club, The Sunshine Underground, 3 Daft Monkeys, Simon Friend (the levellers) and The Bluetones. The festival will host the best of local talent and a host of nationally recognized artists all performing over an 11 hour timescale over two stages.

Tickets

The ticket price for the festival is £17.50 adults, and £7.50 for children aged 10-15 years, under 10's are free but must be accompanied by an adult. Family tickets consisting of 2 adults + 2 children are available priced at £40. Car parking on the site is priced at £3 for the day. Tickets are not yet on sale.

Theme

The Theme for the festival this year is fitness fancy dress, anything goes and prizes including full weekend vip access all areas passes for the 3 day event to be held next year in September.

Children's area

There will be a specific area for children at the festival, fun environmental learning group climate cops will be holding sessions all day enlightening children on the benefits of environmental awareness.

There will also be a children's entertainment area consisting of various fun activities and a mini fun fair to tire the little ones out.

Facilities

The festivals will have 1 bar selling well known and traditional ales of the highest quality at affordable family prices. The EVnLI Inn will also house the open mic stage, giving the festival goers a chance to get up and play themselves in an impromptu manner.

The festival will be supporting the local community in Newark and Sherwood and immediate areas by using local contractors, prioritizing trader pitches to local shops and food outlets and giving free advertising to business in the local area.

All traders and food vendors have be specifically vetted and chosen by the festival committee and no patron at the event will be ripped off with over priced under quality food. There will be a number of food options available from vegetarian to healthy options to fast food outlets of the highest local quality.

WC facilities will be in abundance and of the highest quality and cleanliness.
