Festival No. 6

last updated: Thu 19th Jul 2018

Started in 2012, Festival No. 6 takes place in Portmeirion, Wales the location for the cult 60's TV series The Prisoner, hence the name being a reference to the show. Portmeirion was constructed between 1925 and 1975 byarchitect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and the village is a bizarre and elaborate interpretation of a Mediterranean villa.

The festival offers a bespoke line-up of musical acts alongside a range of alternative activities. These include cinema screenings, street theatre, prose and poetry readings, midnight masquerades, cliff-top comedy stages, secret parties, impromptu interactive moments and even participate in cultural lectures and debates.

In July 2018 the festival announced it would be 'taking a break' after the 2018 festival. No indication was given about whether it might return.
