The Zutons, who are currently recording their new album in LA have announced their first UK tour in two years at seven unique forest locations across the UK.
The Forestry Commission is committed to taking woodlands to new audiences, and making them relevant to people in new ways. The forest tour is self-sustaining, paying for itself, and providing valuable revenue to plough back into the woodland in a variety of environmental and social projects.
The Zutons will be performing at:-
Thu 5th June High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Near Brandon, Suffolk
Sun 8th June Bedgebury Pinetum & Forest, Near Goudhurst, Kent
Fri 13th June Delamere Forest, Near Linmere, Cheshire
Fri 20th June Westonbirt - The National Arboretum, Near Tetbury, Glos
Sat 21st June Sherwood Pines Forest Park, Near Edwinstowe, Notts
Fri 27th June Dalby Forest, Near Pickering, North Yorks
Sat 28th June Cannock Chase Forest, Near Rugeley, Staffs
The special guests will be Mystery Jets (Thetford, Bedgebury, Sherwood & Westonbirt), Fionn Regan (Cannock & Dalby) and Thea Gilmore (Delamere Forest only). Support comes from Noah And The Whale at all shows.
Tickets are priced at £26 plus booking fees for all shows. Tickets and can be purchased from here.
Disabled users:
There is a disabled parking at every site and they all have a wheelchair platform although the nice thing is because of the arenas design wheelchair users often spend the time with their group as there is plenty of space and it is flat. There is a hotline number to call for further information: 01842 814612.
The concerts are a vital part of Forestry Commission's drive to attract more and new people into Britain's forests and to help protect England's precious woodland resource. All profits from the concerts are put back into local projects and give valuable support to the Commission's work. In recent years, these have included habitat creation for endangered butterflies; health projects to encourage the young and old to get out and about in the natural environment and installing woodfuel heating systems to help contribute towards the fight against climate change.
More information will be here when available.
