Simply Red have announced they will be appearing as part of The Forestry Commission's 2009 Forest Tours next Summer.
Fronted by Mick Hucknall, the band, whose hits include 'Holding Back The Years', 'If You Don't Know Me By Now', 'Stars', 'For Your Babies', 'Fairground' and 'Angel' will be performing at Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury, Gloucestershire on Sunday 21st June 2009.
Commenting on their forest date, Mick Hucknall for Simply Red said, "We are really looking forward to performing at Westonbirt Arboretum. As part of our 2009 world tour, a spectacular woodland location will provide a unique experience for the band and fans alike."
Tickets were priced at £32.50, and have sold out.
Disabled users:
There is a disabled parking at every site and they all have a wheelchair platform although the nice thing is because of the arena's design wheelchair users often spend the time with their group as there is plenty of space and it is flat. There is a hotline number to call for further information: 01842 814612.
The Forestry Commission is committed to taking woodlands to new audiences, and making them relevant to people in new ways. The forest tour is self-sustaining, paying for itself, and providing valuable revenue to plough back into the woodland in a variety of environmental and social projects.
More information will be here when available.
